Neugent Consulting · AI consulting and engineering
AI that does the work.
We design, build and run the AI systems behind your operations: the phone, the inbox, the onboarding packet, the quote, the review queue. Consulting judgement, engineering discipline, and we stay until it runs.
Our process
From the first conversation to a running system
Every engagement runs the same four steps. Each one ends with something you keep, and you can stop after any of them.
-
01Thirty minutes
A conversation
By video call. What your team does by hand, what it costs, and whether a system is worth building. If it is, we show you one we have already built for a workflow like yours, running.
-
02About two weeks
A diagnostic
We sit with the people doing the work, map the workflow and price the hours. You get a ranked list of what is worth automating and a costed plan for the first system. It is yours whether or not we build it.
-
03Weeks, not quarters
The first system
Scoped to ship. Rules decide what rules should decide, the model works within limits, and a person is one click away. Your team tests it on real work before it goes live.
-
04Until it runs without us
Run, measure, stay
Deployed in your environment, with the measurements that show whether it worked. We train your team, watch the numbers and stay until the system runs on its own.
Client impact

Industrial & Scientific Distribution
The right box for every shipment

Environmental Non-profit
Twenty hours of data work a week, down to five minutes

Industrial & Scientific Distribution
Five thousand qualified leads, researched by a system
Sound familiar?
If this sounds like your operation, let's talk.
Thirty minutes, no deck. Bring the workflow that eats the day; we bring a system we built for one like it, running.
Capabilities
- 01 AI Strategy & Diagnostics Find where AI pays before writing a line of code.
- 02 Agentic Systems Agents that do office work, with a person one click away.
- 03 Workflow & Document Automation The long workflows that span email, PDF and spreadsheet.
- 04 Voice & Conversational AI A front desk that answers when you cannot, in your own words.
- 05 Data, Integration & Platforms The systems you already run, connected and made reliable.
- 06 Evaluation & Assurance Numbers on whether the system is right, and harnesses that keep it so.
Pillars of success
What every engagement stands on.
Four commitments that decide whether a system is still running a year after we leave. Consulting judgement, engineering discipline, one team.
About the firm- 01
Honest about where AI pays
We price the hours before we propose a system, and we say so when rules and a clean screen will do. The packing app that saves a distributor three hundred hours a year has no model in it.
- 02
Deterministic where it matters
Prices, coverage rules and approvals are computed by code you can read. The model extracts, drafts and reviews within limits. Nothing financial rides on a guess.
- 03
A person one click away
When the evidence conflicts, the system asks instead of guessing. Every decision keeps the signals that produced it, so a reviewer can see why it did what it did.
- 04
Built to run without us
Your tools, your data, your environment: the same CRM, the same workbook, the same inbox. Fallbacks for the day a vendor or a key goes away, and a team trained to run it.

Perspective · Agentic systems
Agents that do office work: what actually holds up in production
After building agent systems for operators in several industries, the pattern that survives is not the clever prompt. It is a deterministic core, a model at the edges, a person one click away, and one file that says who the business is.

Grading a segmentation mask when nobody knows the right answer
Judging a mask against an expert's is arithmetic. The case teams actually face is a model producing thousands of masks with no reference at all. The honest answer is triage: a score, a confidence band that decides the colour, and a queue sorted worst first.

Questions we are asked
Before the first call
Short answers here; the long ones take thirty minutes.
What does Neugent Consulting do?
We are an AI consulting and engineering firm. We find the workflows in an operation where AI pays, then design, build and run the systems: phone and inbox agents, document automation, review queues, data pipelines, and the evaluation that proves they work.
Which industries do you work in?
Logistics and transportation; healthcare, life sciences and biotech; professional services; energy, climate and carbon markets; industrial and scientific distribution; and technology companies putting models into their own products.
Do you work with biotech and life-science companies?
Yes. Biotech, pharma and device work is review work: lab and assay data to clean, hundreds of standards to screen, thousands of images to grade, submissions to assemble. We build assistants that do the first pass and show their evidence, so scientists and regulatory experts spend their time where it is needed.
How does an engagement start?
With a thirty-minute video call. If a system looks worth building, a diagnostic of about two weeks returns a ranked list of workflows with the hours beside each and a costed plan for the first system, which ships in weeks, not quarters.
Which AI models do you use?
Whatever fits the job, behind deterministic code. Prices, rules and approvals are computed by code you can read; the model extracts, drafts, summarises and reviews within limits; and every system still runs on rules and saved data when a key or a vendor is unavailable.
Can you show something running before we commit?
Yes. Every client story on this site is a system we can demonstrate live, with the network cable out, before we scope anything for you.
Where are you based and who does the work?
The United States, with clients wherever the work is. You work directly with the founders, who do the diagnostic and the engineering themselves and stay until the system runs without us.
Where should the first system run?
Thirty minutes to find out. A ranked list first, then a working system.
