About us

Consulting judgement. Engineering discipline.

We design, build and run the AI systems behind your operations: the phone, the inbox, the onboarding packet, the quote, the review queue. Consulting judgement, engineering discipline, and we stay until it runs.

Why a consulting firm that writes code

Neugent began as an engineering studio building custom AI tools, and became a consulting firm because the engineering kept arriving with the same question attached: where, in this business, is AI actually worth it? Answering that takes a day at the client's desk and a ranked list with hours beside it. Building the answer takes engineers who have done it before. We do both, with the same people, and we stay until the system is running.

We work mostly with operators: freight brokerages, device makers, architecture practices, resellers, sustainability teams. Their workflows run on phone calls, email and PDFs, and a few of those workflows eat most of the day. Those are the ones we build for.

What we believe

That a price should be computed by code the client can read. That an agent which is not sure should ask. That every decision should keep its evidence. That the business profile should live in one file. And that a demo which cannot run with the network cable out is not a demo of anything.

Our approach

How we work

01

Diagnose before we build

We sit with the people doing the work, map the workflow, price the hours, and only then propose a system. The first deliverable is usually a ranked list, not code.

02

Deterministic where it matters, model where it helps

Prices, coverage rules and approvals are computed by code you can read. The model extracts, drafts, summarises and reviews within limits. Nothing financial rides on a guess.

03

Ask, don't guess

When the evidence conflicts, the system queues a one-click check for a person instead of acting on a guess. Every confirmation teaches it.

04

Evidence on every decision

Each action keeps the signals that produced it, so a reviewer can see why the system did what it did.

05

One file to edit

Who you are, what you sell, what a good lead looks like: the business profile lives in one place. Change it and the agents, the prompts and the dashboard follow.

06

Runs without a key

Every system we ship degrades gracefully: no API key, no network, and it still runs on rules and saved data. Production has the same fallbacks.

Our people

Founders

Gunoo Shin

Co-founder

Engineer specializing in agentic AI systems and full-stack development. Built AI-powered data pipelines that cut more than twenty hours of manual work a week for businesses, and at Ridgeline International designed and deployed an agentic identity-report service end to end into the core product. Focused on shipping AI that solves real problems in industry.

Sungjune Park

Co-founder

Leads client engagements: the diagnostic, the roadmap and the relationship from first conversation to a running system.

Kaiden Simon

Co-founder

Engineer specializing in AI and full-stack development. Has shipped real-time voice agents, retrieval pipelines and production models across MIT CSAIL and several AI startups; his patent-pending medical image segmentation workflow cut labelling time from an hour to seconds, and his deep-learning research is published in a peer-reviewed cardiology journal.

News

  • Neugent AI becomes Neugent Consulting

A new name for the work we were already doing: advising operators and building the systems ourselves.

  • Carbon sourcing engine adds a second public venue

Listings from a further marketplace now join the registry data, with each venue's status shown on every search.

  • Segmentation triage extends to 3D volumes

The same checks now score single images, slice stacks and full volumes on comparable terms.

  • Carrier desk adds source verification

Insurance evidence is requested from its issuer; a copy forwarded by the carrier never passes.
